Miranda was raised on a cattle and sugarcane farm in Batchelor, Louisiana. She attended Louisiana State
University, pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nutrition and minor in Business Administration.
She decided to continue and achieve her doctorate in physical therapy, attending the University of St.
Augustine. She has been in practice since graduation in 2008.
Miranda began to investigate the world of real estate after a suggestion from a close friend in the
business. She completed and passed the state licensing exam in 2018 and has gradually increased her
level of activity. She is currently working on completing her Graduate Real Institute certification, an
advanced level of certification for realtors wanted to demonstrate excellent customer service and
She joined Century 21 John T Ferreira & Son in 2020 to expand her professional goals of assisting others.
She notes that when she and Lane were buying and selling their first home, it was an enormous
undertaking. The most concerning thing were the number of “moving parts” along with keeping up with
all that was going on at work and home. She notes that, “my goal is to help the mom (or dad) that were
like us – wasn’t exactly sure what to do, when to do it, or how we were going to get it done.” Miranda
notes she had a lot of help from a lot of family to guide Lane and herself. However, she understands that
not all people have such a benefit. She states that, “I just want to take one or two ‘to do’ items off
someone’s list so they can focus on why they are doing this.”
She met her future husband, Lane, while at the University of St. Augustine. They were married in 2009
and lived in Birmingham, Alabama for six years. After becoming pregnant with their second son, they
realized they wanted to be near family and the water. The settled in St. Augustine in 2014 and are
currently still there. They are now chasing 3 vivacious boys around the various ballparks around town,
on the beach and in the water. When not in St Augustine, Miranda can be found with her extended
family in Fernandina Beach. Her favorite part about being back in Florida is the weather, noting you can
be outside anytime of the year. In her spare time, you can find her going for a run, working on a new
puzzle or book, or on the golf course. You may even be able to catch up to her while on the boat or jet
ski with friends near Cumberland Island or down by Matanzas Inlet.
